George Torok and what has he done?
Coauthor of, the National Bestseller, Secrets of Power
Marketing
The book, Secrets of Power Marketing: Promote Brand You is the
first guide to personal marketing for the non-marketer. It is
published in at least seven countries.

George Torok has written and published more than 300 articles

deliver programs on Presentations and Leadership.
Radio Show Host
Host and creator of the weekly radio show, Business in Motion,
since Sept. 1995. He has interviewed over 400 business
leaders.
Media Guest
George Torok works on both sides of the microphone. He has
appeared as an expert guest on radio and TV across North
America. He has been the guest of many interviews for print
articles. The media called him a "Citizen of the World".
Consultant, Coach and Conference speaker
As a keynote speaker he speaks to corporate and association
audiences around the world. George Torok is the founder
and principal of "SpeechCoachforExecutives.com." He works with
business professionals to help them grow.
McMaster University Graduate, (1979)
He was an honours award-winning high school student. University
was a different story. He was a less than stellar student and
graduate in economics, winning no awards for academic
performance. He might have the shortest explanation of supply
and demand theory. Nevertheless George has been a proud
supporter of the university. He is a nominee to the Alumni
Gallery of Distinction. And he is proud to be a special
instructor in the MBA program at the Michael DeGroot School of
Business.
Corporate Manager (expat)
George Torok worked in corporate management for two decades
across many industries. For example, he worked in fast paced
automotive, quality-minded power generation, detail oriented
hospitality, agricultural machinery and multi-faceted
government. He has lived and understands different business
perspectives.
Community Volunteer
George Torok was a founding member of the Burlington
Sustainable Development committee. He ran for election as a
school trustee and served as a Block Parent. He has volunteered
for many charitable and social organizations including United
Way, Junior Achievement...
Association Professional
George Torok has served on the national and local boards of
CAPS, the Canadian Association of Professionals Speakers. He
has also served in various capacities and/or been an active
member of the Chamber of Commerce; CPSA, Canadian Professional
Sales Association; CSAE, Canadian Society of Association
Executives; and Toastmasters International.
World Traveler
George visited Paris, France when he was 18. He made his first
journey around the world at the age of 20. He visited more than
20 countries within 12 months and spent less than $4600. He
learned to speak snippets of several languages.
Among the many memorable moments: he was bitten by a rabid
monkey in Benaraes, the Hindu holy city in India, climbed the
great pyramid of Cheops outside of Cairo, crossed into East
Berlin at Checkpoint Charlie before the Berlin wall fell,
crossed the Nalabar desert of Australia, trekked in the
Himalayan mountains of Nepal, and relaxed on the beaches of
Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Indonesia and Hawaii.
Marathon Runner
George Torok completed his first tri-a-tri triathlon in 2001,
his first half-marathon in 2002 and his first full marathon in
May 2003. A marathon is 42 kilometers or 26 miles. In high
school he was a struggling member of the cross-country team,
(aka Harrier team), and dropped out of his first six-mile race.
