Business in Motion: Overview Business in Motion movers and shakers in business reveal their secrets, lessons, mistakes and triumphs

“Business in Motion” is the only radio show based in Hamilton, Ontario that focuses on the challenges, rewards and lessons of people in business.

Theme
The theme of the show is that business is changing and here are the lessons of how people and business change to grow and succeed. We want to learn from others. There are some important rules of life that say: use other peoples money, learn from other people’s mistakes and celebrate other people’s triumphs.

Guests
Guests include corporate executives, entrepreneurs, authors and inspiring individuals. Small and large companies and associations have been represented. Although most guests have been Canadian, we have had guests from the USA, UK, Croatia, Australia and Antigua.

Time and Duration
The weekly show airs Fridays at noon for 30 minutes on 93.3 FM, CFMU. The show launched in September 1995 and has featured over 400 guests.

Creator and Host
George Torok conceived, designed and continues to host the radio show. After 20-plus years of corporate management he launched his own business as a consultant, trainer and speaker. He helps organizations to out-innovate, out-market and out-communicate the competition. He is a graduate of McMaster University where CFMU is hosted.

Business in Motion in Print
Success Weekly published a weekly column written by George Torok titled Business in Motion. The topics featured a spectrum of business topics from marketing to operations, from strategic planning to tactics.

Award
In 2002 George Torok received the “cfmu service award”.

Anniversary
In 2005 Business in Motion celebrated its 10th year of broadcasting. In 2008, CFMU celebrated its 30th year of broadcasting.
